Freedom Village Wins Three Gold Medals in the 2024 “Bradenton’s Best” People’s Choice Awards

Freedom Village of Bradenton senior living community earned three gold medals and one bronze medal in the “2024 Bradenton’s Best People’s Choice Awards” sponsored by the Bradenton Herald.

Readers chose Freedom Village as the gold medal winner in the “Best Retirement Community” and the “Best Independent Living Community” categories in 2024 for the second consecutive year.

Freedom Village also won a gold medal as having the “Best Memory Care” in Bradenton and earned a bronze medal for having the “Best Assisted Living Community.”

Hundreds of regional businesses, organizations and individuals competed for awards in a variety of categories including senior living communities and health care providers. More than 281,000 votes were cast by 83,000 voters during the third year of the community-wide competition, making this a true “people’s choice” award.

“It’s especially gratifying to win these awards because our team works hard to provide our residents with exceptional experiences – from the highest quality apartments and villas, and health care services, to our activities, fine dining and amenities,” said Freedom Village of Bradenton Executive Director Scott McAlister. “The awards are voted on by members of the Bradenton community and beyond who have trusted us to provide outstanding services and amenities for nearly 40 years, so this recognition is especially important to us.”

Freedom Village opened its doors in 1984 as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), that offers luxurious apartments and villas for independent living residents on its lush 34-acre campus.

Nearly 500 of Freedom Village’s 700 residents live in independent living, where they enjoy a robust array of activities, amenities and services. Freedom Village also provides excellent support for each resident in Assisted Living, as well as Memory Care through its Heartfelt Connections Program, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Services.
