Bradenton’s Freedom Village honors fallen heroes

MANATEE COUNTY – Freedom Village Senior Living Community in Bradenton held a special program to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

“A lot of us, we we’re in, we didn’t give it all, they did,” said World Was II Veteran, Charlie Grace.

Charlie Grace, a WW2 veteran, served his country for 28 years.

“I thought my career in the air force and the army air corps gave me a lot of insight and a lot of experience I would have never gotten any place else, I’m very glad I went into the service and spent all 28 years in there,” said Grace.

Grace says Memorial Day is a day that should never be forgotten and he would not think twice to serve his country again.

“I appreciated the fact that I could help out or at least participate in keeping this marvelous country going,” said Grace.
